- From Sydney: Follow the M5 and Hume Highway (M31) south towards Goulburn. From Goulburn, continue west on the Hume Highway (M31) and then take the Yass Valley Way (B638) towards Yass. Finally, drive south on Lachlan Valley Way (B81) to reach the Hilltops region.
- From Canberra: Take the Barton Highway (A25) north towards Yass. From Yass, follow the Lachlan Valley Way (B81) south to reach the Hilltops region.
- From Melbourne: Follow the Hume Highway (M31) north towards Sydney. Approximately 30 km past Gundagai, take the Jugiong exit (towards the Olympic Highway) and continue north on the Jugiong Road. Turn right onto Burley Griffin Way (B94), and finally, take the Lachlan Valley Way (B81) to reach the Hilltops region.
By Public Transportation:
If you prefer public transportation, here are the options available:
- Train: Take a train from Sydney to Goulburn or Yass Junction. From there, hire a taxi or take a bus to the Hilltops region.
- Bus: There are bus services available from Sydney or Canberra to towns within the Hilltops region, such as Young or Boorowa. Check with local transport providers for schedules and routes.
Getting Around:
Once you've reached the Hilltops region, having your own vehicle or hiring a car is the most convenient way to explore the area. This will allow you to visit the various towns, wineries, and attractions at your own pace. Alternatively, there may be local tour operators offering guided tours within the region.
